ARTIST BIO

John Woodlock is a multidisciplinary artist based in Victoria, Australia. Fueled by a deep passion for art, he works across multiple mediums—including sculpture, acrylics, charcoal and mixed media—allowing each piece to find its own voice. While drawn to the human form, John’s inspiration equally comes from the beauty and organic shapes found in nature. He translates the curves of a branch or the play of light on water into expressive lines and textured surfaces. Often pairing his works with handcrafted frames, he turns the presentation itself into an extension of the art. From vivid figurative studies to abstract explorations of natural forms and movement, his portfolio is rich with variety. Yet amid this diversity runs a consistent thread: an unwavering dedication to craftsmanship, creativity and the joy of making. John invites viewers to slow down, feel and perhaps see themselves—and the world around them—reflected in new light, making each piece a conversation between subject, artist and audience.
